TC Kids is dedicated to partnering with parents to lead children to become fully transformed followers of Jesus. Through age-specific lessons, activities, and small groups, your children—Pre-K through 5th grade—learn biblical truths and real-life applications. TC Kids meet during the 11:00 AM Worship Experience so while you are experiencing the creative, life-changing message, your children are experiencing it as well.
We’d love to invite you back to TC Kids at Transformation Church, and we understand the concern about attending again, but TC Kids has a plan! We are encouraged by the fact that at this point, there is little evidence to show that COVID-19 poses a great risk to children and that it’s been shown that if children were to become infected, they’re more likely to carry such a weak strand of the virus that they are not strong transmitters of it. We get this information from a report from the American Academy of Pediatrics.
What to Expect
Kids’ areas will be sanitized before and after services and as frequently as possible in between those times. Areas include seats, bathrooms, microphones, toys, etc. Children and families will sanitize before entering the children’s areas and when children move from one activity to the next. Children as well as Volunteers are required to wear masks. Children will sanitize each time they move from one area to another.
There is a limited capacity of 30 children for Elementary and limited capacity of 8 children for the Pre-K and 8 children in Kindergarten rooms. In order for your child to attend, you must register them in advance. Please register the child under the name of the parent or guardian who intends to drop the child off and pick the child up. This same parent or guardian will do both. The drop off/pick up point will be clearly indicated with signage at the TC Kids welcome tent. The TC Kids drop off entrance will be the door up the hill from the church main entrance of the church. One parent/guardian will drop the child off at that door and then go down the stairs that lead into the cafe to attend Sunday service.
Because we value safety, we will need some information at that time of registration including: family member’s name, child’s name and birthday, address, phone number, and any special instructions (allergies, etc.). Please be sure when arriving to check-in your children for any of our kids programs. Once you check-in your child, you will receive a registration tag and your child will receive a sticker with a unique identification number. Do not lose this tag as you will need it to pick up your child(ren)
If your child needs you during the service, their identification number will appear on the video screens in the main auditorium. When the service ends, you will use the tag you received at check in to pick up your child. TC Kids will run simultaneously to the 11A adult worship service. We know that your kids are going to love TC Kids!
For each room, children will be given pre-packaged goodie bags with the items that go along with the lesson for the day (craft, activity, crayons, perhaps some candy, etc.) this will help to avoid sharing objects that have been touched by other children.
Pre-K + Kindergarten
Each room will run with two volunteers with a max capacity of 8 children in each classroom. The room leader will focus on teaching the lesson while the room assistant will focus on the sanitation of each toy in the room and helping children stay socially distanced. There will be toys laid aside that have been sanitized beforehand so that when the groups swap, there will be clean toys to play with.
These children will stay in their group during the entire service in order to limit contact with others as much as possible. Each group will have its own sanitizing station close by. The stage leader will lead the lesson and the discussion questions while the small group leaders will monitor that the children are following social distancing guidelines such as sanitizing, wearing masks, and not sharing items amongst each other. Elementary children will be encouraged to have discussions among themselves, being guided by the small group leader and the stage leader as they discuss.
Masks and Social Distancing
All children must wear masks and maintain social distancing as mandated by Orange County and New York State.
What We Value
Creative Biblical Teaching
The Bible is the most amazing book ever written! And we strive to bring its stories to life through activities and discussions that keep students engaged. We want all students to love God’s Word and understand the value of applying it to their lives.
Small Group Relationships
As students build relationships with leaders and other students, they gain the support and confidence to grow in their faith. When you commit to attending the same service each week, your student will be surrounded by a small group full of familiar faces.
Our environments and lessons are intentionally designed for your child to understand. We’re so passionate about supporting them in each stage of life that we provide TC Kids options through 5th grade for three Sunday worship experiences.
Safety is one of our highest priorities. That’s why you’ll receive a unique parent identification number each time you check in. Additionally, every volunteer is screened and participates in a background check. You may also notice that our hallways are monitored by security during each experience.
When students have fun at church, they can’t wait to come back! And we know they’ll have fun each week as they learn about who God is through games, activities, small groups, and video teaching.
(Pre-K thru Kindergarten)
Introduce your littlest ones to the wonder and Word of God through age-specific lessons, fun animation, activities, and more.
(1st Grade thru 5th Grade)
Every Sunday your kids can be a part of an exciting and active environment filled with music, activities, games, and teaching from energetic and caring leaders alongside our multi-media based curriculum.
All of our TC Kids volunteers must have been attending Transformation Church for a minimum of 3 months, must fill out a volunteer form, and undergo a background check. Volunteers must adhere to Transformation Church policies and procedures for the safety of the children. If you are interested in volunteering in one of our TC Kids programs you can sign up HERE
